Emily is a London-based freelance set and costume designer with over ten years’ professional experience designing for live performance. Originally from Ipswich, Suffolk, she has worked across a wide range of London venues, mid-scale regional productions, and UK tours. Regardless of scale, Emily strives for excellence, creating bold, memorable, and visually striking theatre.

Her work has received significant industry recognition, including a Fringe Theatre Design Award nomination for Best Set Design, a BroadwayWorld Design Award nomination, four Off West End Offie nominations for Best Set Design, an Offie finalist nomination for Best Costume Design, and in 2024 an Offie Award win for Best Pantomime Design.

A First Class graduate of Central Saint Martins, Emily has designed productions as well as worked as an assistant and associate designer. After graduating, she supported herself through a range of roles, working everything from front of house and bar work to balloon demonstrating, while developing her professional practice. Emily’s passion and determination, combined with a wide variety of work and experience, have ensured a practical and imaginative approach to design, and a strong understanding of how ambitious ideas translate onto the stage.
